Flange is abbreviated as flange. It is just a general term. It usually means that several fixing holes are provided in the periphery of a disk-like metal body for connecting other things.
The flange is a part that connects the pipe to the pipe and is connected to the pipe end. There are holes in the flange, and the bolts make the two flanges tightly connected. The flanges are sealed with gaskets. Flanges are disc-shaped parts that are most common in plumbing and flanges are used in pairs. In plumbing, flanges are primarily used for pipe connections. At the end where two pipes need to be connected, one flange is installed, and the low-pressure pipe can use a wire flange. The welding flange is used at a pressure of 4 kg or more. A gasket is placed between the two flanges and then bolted.
The flanges are divided into structural types, including integral flanges, loop flanges and threaded flanges. Common integral flanges have flat weld flanges and butt weld flanges. The flat welding flange has poor rigidity and is suitable for the occasion of the pressure p≤4MPa; the butt welding flange is also called the high neck flange, and has the neck flat welding and the neck butt welding. It has high rigidity and is suitable for occasions with high pressure and temperature. There are three types of flange sealing surfaces: flat sealing surface, suitable for occasions where pressure is not high and medium is non-toxic; concave and convex sealing surface is suitable for occasions with higher pressure; groove sealing surface is suitable for flammable and explosive , toxic media and high pressure occasions.
